摘要 Currentstudiesareaimingatmonitoringcorrosiondamageofaircraftmainstructuresbyusingacousticemission(AE)techniqueandatsupplyingusefuldatafordeterminingcalendarlifeoftheaircraft.ThecharacteristicsofAEsignalsproducedduringacceleratingcorrosionprocessaredescribed,andmethodsforevaluatingcorrosiondamagesanddeterminingremaininglifeofmainstructuresofaircraftusingAEtestingareoutlined.ExperimentalresultshaveshownthatAEtechniquecandetectcorrosiondamageofaluminumalloymuchearlierthanconventionalnon-destructivetestingmeans,suchasultrasonictestingandeddycurrenttesting.RelationshipbetweencorrosiondamageandAEparameterswasobtainedthroughinvestigatingcorrosiondamageextentandchangesofAEsignalsduringacceleratingcorrosiontest,andshowingthatAEtechniquecanbeusedtodetectearlycorrosion,investigatingcorrosiondevelopingtrend,andinmonitoringandevaluatingcorrosiondamages.
