Theoretical analysis of the performance of a single side band multicarrier source based on a re-circulating frequency shifter influenced by an optical bandpass filter

摘要 Anopticalbandpassfilter(OBF)isanimportantelementwhosepropertiesconsiderablyinfluencetheoutputperformanceofasinglesidebandmulticarriersourcebasedonare-circulatingfrequencyshifter.TheinfluenceoftheOBFintheloopontheoutputspectrumistheoreticallyanalyzed.Numericalsimulationsandexperimentsarealsocarriedout.Resultsshowthatthesteepnessanddeepnessofanonflat-topfilterinfluencethestabilityofthespectrumofanoutputmulticarrier.Toobtainmulticarrieroutputwithtonetonoiseratio(TNR)>26dBanderrorvectormagnitude(EVM)<0.25,thesteepnessratioofthefiltershouldbegreaterthan0.75anddeepnessshouldbelargerthan0.99.
