摘要
Wirelesssensornetworks(WSNs)consistofsensornodesthatbroadcastamessagewithinanetwork.Efficientbroadcastingisakeyrequirementinsensornetworksandhasbeenafocalpointofresearchoverthelastfewyears.Therearemanychallengingtasksinthenetwork,includingredundancycontrolandsensornodelocalizationthatmainlydependonbroadcasting.Inthispaper,weproposeabroadcastingalgorithmtocontrolredundancyandimprovelocalization(BACRIL)inWSNs.Theproposedalgorithmincorporatesthebenefitsofthegossipprotocolforoptimizingmessagebroadcastingwithinthenetwork.Simulationresultsshowacontrolledlevelofredundancy,whichisupto57.6%ifthenumberofsensornodesdeployedina500m500mareaareincreasedfrom50to500.
