CFD Simulation of the Vertical Motion Characteristicsof the Moonpool Fluid for the Truss Spar

摘要 Theresearchpurposeofthispaperistoestimatetheimpactsoftheparametersoftheguideplateontheverticalmotioncharacteristicsofthemoonpoolfluid.Withthevolumeoffluid(VOF)method,three-dimensionalmodelsofthemoonpoolfluidmotionsofthetrusssparplatformareestablished.Simulationresultsarethenpresentedforthemoonpoolforcedoscillationbyemployingthedynamicmeshmethodanduser-definedfunctionsinFLUENT.Themotionsofthemoonpoolfluidandtheloadsontheguideplatesareobtainedforbothcasesofsquare-ringandcrisscross.Theresultsshowthattheshapeandareaoftheguideplateatthebottomofthemoonpoolhaveasignificantimpactonthephysicalparametersofthemoonpool,includingtheloadonthemoonpoolguideplate,motionformofthemoonpoolfluidandthemassflowrate.
