Research on the Source Parameters and Correlation Coefficients of Focal Mechanisms for the Yingjiang Earthquake Sequences in 2008

摘要 ThesourceparametersoftheYingjiangearthquakesequencesin2008areobtainedbyapplyingspectralanalysisandBrunessourcemodel,basedonthedigitalwaveformdatarecordedbytheYunnanDigitalSeismicNetwork.Thecorrelationcoefficientsarecalculatedusingthelow-frequencyspectralamplitudesof2eventsrecordedbyasamestation,then,eventswithsimilarfocalmechanismaregroupedusingtheclusteringanalysismethod.Comparedtotheobtainedfocalmechanisms,itisfoundthattherearegoodcorrelationswiththeazimuthofPaxesineachclusteringgroup,andthelargerthecorrelationcoefficient,theclosertheazimuthsofPaxes.WedividetheYingjiangareainto3regionstoanalyzethestresslevelandstressdirectionbycombiningthesourceparametersandthemeanfocalmechanismofeachgroup.Theresultsshow:Thechangeandtransformationofthefocalmechanismtypesatdifferentstagescanrepresentthetemporalcharacteristicsoftheregionalstressfield.Iftheearthquakefocalmechanismtypesareconcentratedinatimeperiodandswitchtothedirectionofregionalstressfield,itmaybeasignofstrongearthquake.Thereissomerelationshipbetweenthestressdropandthetypeoffocalmechanism.Thoseearthquakeswithstressfieldsrevealedbyfocalmechanismtypesclosertotheregionaltectonicstressfieldwillhavehigherstressdrop,whilethosewiththefocalmechanism-revealedstressfieldsdifferingalotfromtheregionaltectonicstressfieldwillgenerallyhavealowerstressdrop.
