Band structure calculations of in-plane waves in two-dimensional phononic crystals based on generalized multipole technique

摘要 Anumericalmethod,theso-calledmultiplemonopole(MMoP)method,basedonthegeneralizedmultipoletechnique(GMT)isproposedtocalculatethebandstructuresofin-planewavesintwo-dimensionalphononiccrystals,whicharecomposedofarbitrarilyshapedcylindersembeddedinasolidhostmedium.Tofindtheeigenvalues(eigenfrequencies)oftheproblem,besidesthesourcesusedtoexpandthewavefields,anextramonopolesourceisintroducedwhichactsastheexternalexcitation.Byvaryingtheexcitationfrequency,theeigenvaluescanbelocalizedastheextremepointsofanappropriatelychosenfunction.BysweepingthefrequencyrangeofinterestandtheboundaryoftheirreduciblefirstBrillouinzone(FBZ),thebandstructurescanbeobtained.Sometypicalnumericalexampleswithdifferentacousticimpedanceratiosandwithinclusionsofvariousshapesarepresentedtovalidatetheproposedmethod.
