摘要
ThepaperdiscussesthedistributionofQuaternarysediments,occurrenceofsalinemineralsandphasesofneotectonicmovementsandtheirmanifestationsintheQaidambasin.TheformationoffoursuccessivelacustrineterracesinTertiaryanticlinalzonesinthewesternpartofthebasinwasrelatedtotheneotectonicmovementsthattookplace100Kaago,andthedistributionofsuchterracesdiscloses,inaway.theevolutionaryhistoryoftheQuaternarysaltlakes.AccordingtothedistributionoftheterracescoupledwiththedistributionofQuaternarysedimentsandfeaturesofsaltdeposition,fourperiodsofQuaternarysaltlakeevolutioninthebasinmaybedistinguished,whichcorrespondtofourstagesofsaltdepositionrespectively.
