MICROSTRUCTURES AND TEMPORAL VARIATION CHARACTERISTICS DURING A SEA FOG EVENT ALONG THE WEST COAST OF THE TAIWAN STRAIT

摘要 Synopticsystemsandmicrophysicalpropertiesassociatedwithaseafogeventareanalyzedbasedonthemeasurementsofvisibility,meteorologicalelementsandfogdropletspectrumfromacomprehensivefieldcampaigninXiamen,Fujianprovinceduringspring2013.Theinfluencesofmeteorologicalelementsonthemicrostructuresoftheseafogarealsodiscussed.Theresultsshowedthatthewindspeedanddirectionchangedsuddenlyduringtheintermittentanddispersephasesoftheseafog.Liquidwatercontent,numberconcentrationandaveragediametervariedobviouslyinthedevelopment,matureanddispersephasesoftheseafog.Theburstre-enforcementofseafogwasaccompaniedbyexplosivebroadeningoffogdropletspectrum;averagediameter,numberconcentrationandliquidwatercontentincreasedsharply;andbackgroundmeteorologicalconditionsalsochangedsignificantly.Themicrostructuresfluctuatedintenselyduetochangesinturbulence,radiationandmeteorologicalconditionsatdifferentstages,includingnucleation,condensation,coagulation,andevaporation,aswellasthediscontinuityofspatialdistributionofdroplets.
