摘要
TheinfluencesofboththevolumeofPS/toluenesolutionintheUbbelohdeviscometerandtheprecisionofthetimemeasuringontheviscositybehaviorindiluteandextremelydiluteconcentrationregionareinvestigatedItwasfoundthattheinfluenceoftheformercanneglect,butthatofthelatterissoprominentthatthedatafluctuatebitterlyandlinearityofthecurveofthereducedviscosityvs.Concentration(ηsp/c~c)becomestoobadtoobeytheHugginsequationdowntotheextremelydiluteregion,despitetheerroroftheflowtimes△t≤0.2s,whichispermittedbytheconventionalmethodofviscositymeasurement.Throughstrictmathematicalanalyses,itwasfoundthatthcerror(E)ofthereducedviscosityisinproportionandinverseproportionto△tandconcentrationc,respectively.Sothelesstheconcentration,themoretheerroris.Consequently,alowestconcentrationlimitcLcorrespondingtogivenexperimentalerrormayexistanditwillbemeaninglessforfurtheroperationbelowcLbecauseofthegreatfluctuationofthedata.Therefore,itneedstoseriouslyreconsidertheapplicationoftheconventionalmethodofUbbelohdeviscositymeasurementintheextremelydilutepolymersolutionundertraditionalconditionsbecauseofthegreatinfluenceoftheexperimentalerror.
