摘要
WeconsideranIterated-SubspaceMinimization(ISM)methodforsolvinglarge-scaleunconstrainedminimizationproblems.Ateachmajoriterationofthemethod,atwo-dimensionalmanifold,theiteratedsubspace,isconstructedandanapproximateminimizeroftheobjectivefunctioninthismanifoldthendetermined,andasymmetricrank-oneupdatingisusedtosolvetheinnerminimizationproblem.
