TheestablishmentoftheStatePowerGridDevelopmentCorpLtd(SPG)wasofficiallyannouncedonJune18,markingthegovernment’sdeterminationtoformanationwideunitedpowernetworktomakethebestofpowergeneratingcapability.TheState-ownedcorporation,with2.5billionyuan($301million)worthofoperatingcapitalraisedbythegovernment,willberesponsibleforinvestment.constructionandmanagementofthepowertransmissionandsubstationprojectsinvolvedintheconstructionoftheThreeGorgesProject.
