简介:Aboundaryelementmethodforsimulatingthermocapillaryconvectioninatwo-layerimmisciblefluidsystemwithflatandfreeinterfacehasbeendeveloped.Thedivergence.theoremisappliedtothenon-linearconvectivevolumeintegraloftheboundaryelementformulationwiththepressurepenaltyfunction.Consequently.velocitygradientsareeliminatedandthecompleteformulationiswrittenintermsofvelocity,Thisavoidsthedifficultyofconvectivediscretzationsandprovidesconsiderablereductionsinstorageandcomputationalrequirementswhileimprovingaccuracy,Inthispaper,wegivetheinfluenceofdifferentparameters(Marangoninumber,Reynoldsnumber)onthermocapillaryconvectionincavitywithtwo-layerimmiscibelfluids,Asshownbythenumericalresults.whenthephysicalparametersbetweenliquidencapsulantandmeltarechosenappropriately.thedetrimentalflowinthebottommeltlayercanbegreatlysuppressed.Theinfluenceofthefreeinterfaceonthermocapillaryconvectionisalsoshown.
