  • 简介:Afacilemethodforthesynthesisofsilver-silica(Ag-SiO2)Janusparticleswithfunctionalitiessuitablefortextileapplicationsisreported.SilicananoparticlespreparedbytheStobermethodwerefunctionalizedwithepoxy,amine,andthiolgroups,whichwereconfirmedbyFouriertransforminfraredanalysis.ThefunctionalizedsilicananoparticleswereusedtoproducePickeringemulsions,andtheexposedsurfacewasusedfortheattachmentofsilvernanoparticles(AgNPs)viathelow-temperaturechemicalreductionmethod.ThemorphologyandstructureoftheAg-SiO2Janusparticleswerecharacterizedbyscanningelectronmicroscopy,scanningtransmissionelectronmicroscopy,high-resolutiontransmissionelectronmicroscopy,energy-dispersiveX-rayanalysis,andUV-visspectroscopy.Becauseoftheirspecificfunctionalities,theseAg-SiO2Janusparticlesareproposedforapplicationsontextilesubstrates,astheycanovercomeseveraldrawbacksofdirectapplicationofAgNPsontextiles,suchasleaching,agglomeration,andinstabilityduringstorage.

  • 简介:Carbonnanotube(CNTs)/Fe-Ni/TiO2nanocompositephotocatalystshavebeensynthesizedbyaninsitufluidizedbedchemicalvapordeposition(FBCVD)method.ThecompositephotocatalystswerecharacterizedbyXRD,Ramanspectroscopy,BET,FESEM,TEM,UV-visspectroscopy,andXPS.TheresultsshowedthattheCNTsweregrowninsituonthesurfaceofTiO2.Fe(lll)inTiO2showednochemicalchangesinthegrowthofCNTs.Ni(Ⅱ)waspartlyreducedtometalNiintheFBCVDprocess,andthemetalNiactedasacatalystforthegrowthofCNTs.ThephotocatalyticactivitiesofCNTs/Fe-Ni/TiO2decreasedwiththeriseoftheFBCVDreactiontemperature.ForthesamplesynthesizedatlowFBCVDtemperature(500℃),morethan90%andnearly50%ofmethylenebluewereremovedunderUVirradiationin180minandundervisiblelightirradiationin300min,respectively.TheprobablemechanismofsynergisticenhancementofphotocatalysisontheCNTs/Fe-Ni/TiO2nanocompositeisproposed.

  • 简介:ToimprovethewatertreeresistanceofPE,linearlow-densitypolyethylene(LLDPE)wascompoundedwithsodiumacrylate(NaAA)forinsitupolymerization,inwhichNaAAwasformedthroughtheneutralizationofacrylicacid(AA)withsodiumhydroxide(NaOH)beforeaddingdicumylperoxide(DCP)toinitiatetheinsitugraftpolymerizationandhomopolymerization.AseriesofLLDPE/NaAAcompoundswereinvestigatedfortheirwaterabsorptionratio(WAR)measurement,watertreeing,mechanicalanddielectricproperties.TheresultsstronglysuggestthatNaAAcanimprovethewatertreeresistanceofLLDPE.Inaddition,theLLDPE/NaAAcompoundspossesssatisfactorymechanicalpropertiesanddielectricproperties.CharacterizationofLLDPE/NaAAcompoundsbyusingFouriertransforminfraredspectrometry(FTIR)suggeststhattheneutralizationandpolymerizationreactioncouldbeachievedeffectively.UsingadequateDCPcontentisthekeyfactorforcontrollingthepolymerizationofNaAAwithpreciseconversionratio.

  • 简介:CuSmicrocrystalsweresuccessfullypreparedthroughamildsolvothermalreactioninethyleneglycol(EG)withtheassistanceofcationicsurfactantcetyltrimethylammoniumbromide(CTAB).Aninterestingmorphologyevolutionfromflower-likemicrospherestohollowmicrospheres,andfinallytosmoothnanoflakeswasobservedwhenincreasingtheamountofCTAB.TheproductswerecharacterizedbyX-raydiffraction(XRD),scanningelectronmicroscopy(SEM),transmissionelectronmicroscopy(TEM),andUV—visspectroscopy.ItwasfoundthattheamountofCTABplayedanimportantroleindeterminingthemorphologyoftheCuSmicrocrystals.Electricalmeasurementrevealsthattheas-preparedCuSmicrosphereswereofhighconductivity,whichmightfavortheirdeviceapplications.ItisexpectedthatCuSmicrocrystalswithcontrolledmorphologiesandstructureswillhaveimportantapplicationsinsolarcells.Thissimplebuteffectivemethodcouldalsobeextendedtothecontrolledgrowthofotherinorganicmicrocrystals.

  • 简介:ThebasestructureofinsituTiCP/Fecompositesfabricatedunderindustrialconditionwaschangedbydifferentheattreatments.Erosiveweartestswerecarriedoutandtheresultswerecomparedwiththatofwear-resistantwhitecastiron.TheresultssuggestthatthewearresistanceoftheinsituTiCp/Fecompositeishigherthanthatofwear-resistantwhitecastironunderthesanderosivewearcondition.Thewearmechanismofthewear-resistantwhitecastironwasacycleprocessthatbasesurfacewaswornandcarbideswereexposed,thencarbideswasbrokenandwearpitsappeared.WhilethewearmechanismofinsituTiCp/FecompositewasacycleprocessthatbasesurfacewaswornandTiCgrainswereexposedanddropped.ThewearresistanceofinsituTiCp/Fecompositewaslowerthanthatofwear-resistantwhitecastironundertheslurryerosivewearcondition.Undersuchcircumstance,thematerialwasnotonlyundergoneerosivewearbutalsoelectrochemistryerosionduetothecontactwithwaterinthemedium.Thewearbehaviourscanbeacombinationoftwokindsofwearandthesanderosivewearisworsethanslurryerosivewear.

  • 简介:Theadvancedfabricationofin-situdendrite/metallicglassmatrix(MGM)compositesisreviewed.Herein,thesemisolidprocessingandBridgmansolidificationaretwomethods,whichcanmakethedendriteshomogeneouslydispersedwithinthemetallicglassmatrix.Uponquasi-staticcompressiveloadingatroomtemperature,almostallthein-situcompositesexhibitimprovedplasticity,duetotheeffectiveblocktothefastpropagationofshearbands.Uponquasi-statictensileloadingatroomtemperature,althoughthecompositespossesstensileductility,theinhomogeneousdeformationandassociatedsofteningdominates.Highvolume-fractioneddendritesandnetworkstructuresmakein-situcompositesdistinguishinglyplasticupondynamiccompression.In-situcompositeexhibitshightensilestrengthandsoftening(necking)inthesupercooledliquidregion,sincethepresenceofhighvolume-fractioneddendriteslowerstherheologyoftheviscousglassmatrixathightemperatures.Atcryogenictemperatures,adistinguishingly-increasedmaximumstrengthisavailable;however,aductile-to-brittletransitionseemstobepresentbyloweringthetemperature.Besides,improvedtension—tensionfatiguelimitof473MPaandfour-point-bendingfatiguelimitof567MPaaregainedforZr58.5Ti14.3Nb5.2Cu6.1Ni4.9Be11.0MGMcomposites.Highvolume-fractiondendriteswithintheglassmatrixinduceincreasedeffectivenessonthebluntingandpropagatingresistanceofthefatigue-cracktip.Thefracturetoughnessofin-situcompositesiscomparabletothoseofthetougheststeelsandcrystallineTialloys.Duringsteady-statecrack-growth,theconfinementofdamagebyin-situdendritesresultsinenhancementofthetoughness.
