New mesomorphic benzothiazol derivatives： Synthesis and characterization-中国期刊网

摘要 Inthispaper,thesynthesisofnewmesomorphicbenzothiazolylderivatives,6-ethoxy-2-[4-(4-alkyloxybenzoyloxy)benzylidenamino]benzothiazoles,ispresented.Thestructuresofthetitlecompoundswereelucidatedusingspectroscopictechniques,suchasFT-IR,NMR(1Hand13C),elementalanalysisandEI-MS.Themesomorphicbehavioursofthesecompoundsweredeterminedbydifferentialscanningcalorimetricandpolarizingopticalmicroscopictechniques.Compoundsexhibitednematicandtiltedsmecticphasesuponheatingfromcrystalphase.Anobviousodd-eveneffectwasobservedinthishomologousseries.
