摘要 Inthisstudy,ratswereputintotraumaticbraininjury-inducedcomaandtreatedwithmediannerveelectricalstimulation.Weexploredthewake-promotingeffect,andpossiblemechanisms,ofmediannerveelectricalstimulation.Electricalstimulationupregulatedtheexpressionlevelsoforexin-AanditsreceptorOX1Rintheratprefrontalcortex.Orexin-Aexpressiongraduallyincreasedwithincreasingstimulation,whileOX1Rexpressionreachedapeakat12hoursandthendecreased.Inaddition,aftertheOX1Rantagonist,SB334867,wasinjectedintothebrainofratsaftertraumaticbraininjury,fewerratswererestoredtoconsciousness,andorexin-AandOXIRexpressionintheprefrontalcortexwasdownregulated.Ourfindingsindicatethatmediannerveelectricalstimulationinducedanup-regulationoforexin-AandOX1Rexpressionintheprefrontalcortexoftraumaticbraininjury-inducedcomarats,whichmaybeapotentialmechanisminvolvedinthewake-promotingeffectsofmediannerveelectricalstimulation.
