摘要
Energyconsumptionofsensornodesisoneofthecrucialissuesinprolongingthelifetimeofwirelesssensornetworks.Oneofthemethodsthatcanimprovetheutilizationofsensornodesbatteriesistheclusteringmethod.Inthispaper,weproposeagreenclusteringprotocolformobilesensornetworksusingparticleswarmoptimization(PSO)algorithm.Wedefineanewfitnessfunctionthatcanoptimizetheenergyconsumptionofthewholenetworkandminimizetherelativedistancebetweenclusterheadsandtheirrespectivemembernodes.Wealsotakeintoaccountthemobilityfactorwhendefiningtheclustermembership,sothatthesensornodescanjointheclusterthathasthesimilarmobilitypattern.Theperformanceoftheproposedprotocoliscomparedwithwell-knownclusteringprotocolsdevelopedforwirelesssensornetworkssuchasLEACH(low-energyadaptiveclusteringhierarchy)andprotocolsdesignedforsensornetworkswithmobilenodescalledCM-IR(clusteringmobility-invalidround).Inaddition,wealsomodifytheimprovedversionofLEACHcalledMLEACH-C,sothatitisapplicabletothemobilesensornodesenvironment.SimulationresultsdemonstratethattheproposedprotocolusingPSOalgorithmcanimprovetheenergyconsumptionofthenetwork,achievebetternetworklifetime,andincreasethedatadeliveredatthebasestation.
