TopromotetheapplicationofMgalloytomotorcyclewheeltoreduceweight,thefatigueanalysesofwheelsmadeofA356,AM60BandredesignedAM60Bunderthesameserviceconditionwerecarriedout,revealingthatthepeakstressisreducedby25.6%andstressdistributionbecomesmoreuniforminMg-alloywheelduetoitslowerelasticmodulusincomparisonwithAlalloys.TheservicestresslevelofredesignedMgwheelisrelaxedfurtherbecauseofitsoptimizedstructurebyalteringthespokeconfigurationandincreasingthefilletbetweenspokeandring,satisfyingthedesiredreliabilitywith30%weightsaving.
