  • 简介:Plasmonicwaveguides,asacompetitivecandidate,havebeenwidelystudiedinrapiddevelopingphotonicintegratedcircuits(PICs)andopticalinterconnectionfields.However,crosstalkbetweenplasmonicwaveguidesisacriticalissuethathastobeconsideredinpractice.Actually,crosstalkdominatestheultimateintegrationdensityoftheplanarphotoniccircuits.Thispaperreviewstherecentresearchworkonevaluationmethodsandcrosstalksuppressionapproachesofplasmonicwaveguides.Threecrosstalkevaluationmethodsbasedoncomparisonofspecificparametersofwaveguideshavebeensummarized.Furthermore,fourspecificapproachestoreducecrosstalkhavebeenillustratedastwocategoriesaccordingtotheirimpactsonwaveguideperformancesandthewholecircuit.Onemeansofcrosstalksuppressionischangingtheplacementofwaveguides,whichcouldmaintainthetransmissioncharacteristicsoftheoriginalwaveguide.Theothermeansisinsertingmedium,whichhastheadvantageofoccupyingsmallerspacecomparedtothefirstmethod.Consequently,tosuppresscrosstalkbetweenplasmonicwaveguides,oneshouldchoosesuitableapproach.

  • 简介:TheenergyradiationprocessofanairgunseismicsourceinlandreservoirisstudiedbasedontheunderwaterwaveletdatacollectedintheairgunexcitationexperimentsinBinchuan,Yunnan,China.Theempiricalformulaforcalculatingthebubblepulsationperiodandthemaximumradiusoftheunderwaterairgunseismicsourceisobtained.Theresultsshowthat:①Theenergyradiationefficiencyishigherverticallythanhorizontally.②Theverticalbubbleenergyradiationefficiencyincreaseswiththeincreaseoftheairsupplypressure.③Theverticalenergyradiationefficiencyoftheairgunseismicsourceis9.4%whentheairsupplypressureis15MPa.④Thehighertheairsupplypressure,thefurtherthepropagatingdistanceofthesuperposition-enhancedpressurewaveofanairgunsource.

  • 简介:Thisstudyinvestigatestheeffectivenessofthenon-smoothsemi-activecontrolalgorithmonsuppressingthevibrationperformanceofabuildingstructuresubjectedtoseismicwaves.AccordingtotheLyapunovstabilitytheory,ithasbeneproventhatthenon-smoothsemi-activecontrolalgorithmcanachieveafinite-timestabilityofthevibrationrelativetotheisolationlayerofabuildingstructure.Throughnumericalsimulationoftwobuildingswithdifferentparameterssubjectedtotheinputofaseismicwave,thevibrationconditionsofpassivecontrol,LQRsemi-activecontrolandnon-smoothsemiactivecontrolarecomparedandanalyzed.Thesimulationresultsshowthatthenon-smoothsemi-activecontrolalgorithmhasabetterrobustnessandeffectivenessinrestrainingtheimpactofearthquakesonthestructure.

  • 简介:Mostfluidflowsinnatureandengineeringapplicationsareinthestateofturbulence.Turbulentmotionsusuallyexhibitawiderangeofspatialandtemporalscales,suchastheflowofnaturalgasandoilinpipelines,thewakesofcarsandsubmarines,theboundarylayerofanaircraft,thecurrentintheoceansurface,theatmosphericboundarylayer,theinterstellargasclouds(gaseousstars),andtheEarth’swakeinthesolarwind.Turbulencecangreatlyimprovetheheatandmasstransferefficiencyofmacroscopicflow.Forexample,chemicalengineersuseturbulencetomixupandhomogenizefluidcomponentsandtoincreasechemicalreactionratesinliquidsorgases.However,turbulencecanalsoleadtoincreasesindrag,aerodynamicheat,andhydrodynamicandaerodynamicnoise.Forinstance,theaerodynamicloadingofhigh-speedaircraftcanbesignificantlyincreasedduetoturbulence.
