  • 简介:Single-gritgrindingofa2.5Dwovencompositewasinvestigatedbythefinite-elementmethod(FEM)usingaunit-cellmodel.Accordingtoourhypotheses,theaxisofthewarpyarnwasasinusoidalcurveandthecrosssectionoftheweftyarnwasshapedlikeabiconvexlens.AVUMATsubroutinewasusedtoconstructtheconstitutivemodelofthe2.5Dwovencomposite.ThegrindingprocessofthecompositewasanalyzedusinganFEMsimulationwiththeABAQUS/Explicitsoftware.Avalidationexperimentwasalsocarriedout.Thesimulationresultsshowedthatagrindingcrackwaswellsimulated.Furthermore,thejunctionsbetweenthewarpyarnandweftyarnwerefoundtobeseriouslydamagedandcrackswereobservedtoextendoutwardalongthewarpfiberduringgrinding,ingoodagreementwiththeexperimentalresults.Inaddition,thestrainofweftyarnswasobviouslygreaterthanthatofwarpyarnswhenthegrindingdirectionwasperpendiculartotheweftyarnsandparalleltotheaxisofthewarpyarns.Theseresultsdemonstratethatthemesostructurestronglyinfluencesthegrindingdamageinflictedonwovencomposites.

  • 简介:ByaddingmixtureofZrO2andcarbon,aZr-enhancedcompositecoatingwasproducedontoanAISI1045substratebylasercladding.Themicrostructureandphaseformation,microhardnessandwearresistanceofthecompositecoatingwerestudied.Theexperimentalresultsindicatethatthecompositecoatingwithmetallurgicalbondingtosubstrateconsistsof7-Ni,massiveceramicparticlesofZrC,NiZra,NiTZr〉(Fe,Ni)23C6andF%C.Theinsitu-synthesizedZrCparticlesareuniformlydispersedincompositecoating,whichrefinesthemicrostructureofcompositecoating.WithdifferentZrO2andcarbonaddi-tions,thepropertiesareimproveddifferently.Finally,thefineinsituZrCparticlesimprovethemicrohardnessofcompositecoatingtoHVo.2650,whichisnearly2.7timesthatofNi25coating.Also,thecompositecoatinghasanadvantageinwearresistance;itoffersbetterwearresis-tancewhenmoremixtureofZrO2andcarbonwasaddedinnickelalloys.

  • 简介:ThreephasePebax?MH1657/PEG-ran-PPG/CuBTC(polymer/liquid/solid)wassuccessfullydepositedasaselectivelayeronaporousPolysulfone(PSF)support.Infact,thebeneficialpropertiesofPEG(highselectivity)withthoseofPPG(highpermeability,amorphous)havebeencombinedwithsuperiorpropertiesofmixedmatrixmembrane(MMMs).ThemembraneswerecharacterizedbyDSC,TGAandSEM,whileCuBTCwascharacterizedbyCO2andCH4adsorptiontest.Statisticallybasedexperimentaldesign(centralcompositedesign,CCD)wasappliedtoanalyzeandoptimizetheeffectofPEG-ran-PPG(10–50wt%)andCuBTC(0–20wt%)masscontentsontheCO2permeanceandCO2/CH4idealselectivity.Basedontheregressioncoefficientsoftheobtainedmodels,theCO2permeancewasnotablyinfluencedbyPEG-ran-PPG,whileCuBTChasthemostsignificanteffectontheCO2/CH4idealselectivity.Undertheoptimumconditions(PEG-ran-PPG:32.76wt%andCuBTC:20wt%),nearly620%increaseintheCO2permeanceand43%enhancementintheCO2/CH4idealselectivitywasobservedcomparedtotheneatPebax.Theeffectofpressure(3,9and15bar)onthepureandmixedgasseparationperformanceofthecompositemembraneswasalsoinvestigated.ThehighsolubilityofCO2inthemembranesresultedintheenhancementofCO2permeabilitywithincreaseingaspressure.

  • 简介:Inthepresentwork,anovelhybridcompositecomposedofTi-aluminidemulti-layeredpartandcontin-uous-SiCf-reinforcedTi-matrixpartusingavacuumhotpressing/hotisostaticpressure(VHP/HIP)sinteringprocesswassynthesized.Then,thedamagetolerancebehaviorofthishybridcompositewasstudiedbytensiletestsandinsituscanningelectronmicroscopy(SEM)three-pointbendingtests.Theresultsindicatethatthemechanicalpropertiesandcrackpropagationofthehybridcompositearestronglyinfluencedbytheextrinsictoughnessmecha-nism.Indetail,thecrackdeflectionofmulti-layeredcompositeandstrengtheningeffectofSiCf-reinforcedmatrixcompositeareobservedinthehybridcomposite.Owingtothestrengtheningeffectofcontinuous-SiCrre-inforcedTi-matrixpart,thetensilestrengthofhybridcompositeismuchhigherthanthatofneatTi-aluminidemulti-layeredcomposite.Furthermore,itisfoundthattheoptimaldamagetoleranceabilityisoptimizedwhenthenotchpositionislocatedattheTi-aluminidemulti-layeredpartduetothecrackdeflectionofmulti-layeredstructure.

  • 简介:Anewpotassiumnitrate(KNO_3)/diatomiteshape-stabilizedcompositephasechangematerial(SSCPCM)waspreparedbythemixingandsinteringmethod.KNO_3servedasthephasechangematerial(PCM)forthermalenergystorage,whilediatomiteactedasthecarriermatrixtoprovidethestructuralstrengthandpreventtheleakageofPCM.ItwasfoundthatKNO_3couldberetained65wt%intoporesandonsurfacesofdiatomitewithouttheleakageofmeltedKNO_3fromtheSS-CPCM.ThecalculatedfillingrateofmoltenKNO_3thatcouldenterintothedisc-likeshapeporeofdiatomiteverifiedthescanningelectronicmicroscopyimagesofSS-CPCM.X-raydiffractionandFouriertransforminfraredspectroscopyresultsshowedthatnoreactionoccurredbetweenKNO_3anddiatomite,performinggoodcompatibility.Accordingtothedifferentialscanningcalorimetryresults,after50thermalcycles,thephasechangetemperaturesformeltingandfreezingofSS-CPCMwith65wt%KNO_3werechangedfrom330.23°Cand332.90°Cto330.11°Cand332.84°Candcorrespondinglatentheatsvariedfrom60.52J/gand47.30J/gto54.64J/gand41.25J/g,respectively.TheKNO_3/diatomiteSS-CPCMmaybeconsideredasapotentialstoragemediainsolarpowerplantsforthermalenergystorage.

  • 简介:Toexaminetheeffectivenessofirondust-zeolitecompositeasanadsorbentfortheremovalofheavymetalionsfromaqueoussolutions,theadsorptionisotherms,thekinetic,thermodynamicandoptimumconditions,suchasinitialconcentration,pH,contacttime,adsorbentdosageandcompetitiveadsorptionconditionsofheavymetalswereinvestigated.ThecharacterizationofthecompositewascharacterizedviaFTIR,SEM,XRFandXRDmethods.Kineticresultsontheremovalofheavymetalionsfromaqueoussolutionshavebeenwelldescribedbythepseudo-second-ordermodel.TheadsorptiondataforCdandNiionswerefittedwellwiththeLangmuirandFretm-dlichisothermmodels,respectively.Themaximumadsorptioncapacitiesofirondust-zeoliteforCdandNiionswereequalto78.125and76.33mg/g,respectively.Thethermodynamicparameterssuchasenthalpy,entropyandfreeenergyofadsorptionofmetalionsweredetermined.Itwasfoundthattheprocessisendothermic,favorableandspontaneous.ThecompetitiveadsorptionabilityofheavymetalionsinthebinarysystemonthecompositeshowedthatCdionshadasynergisticeffectontheadsorotionofNiandNiionshadthenegativeeffectonCdadsorption.
