简介:Wetheoreticallyinvestigatethetransportpropertyofgraphenesurfaceplasmonpolaritons(GSPPs)oncurvedgraphenesubstrates.Thedispersionrelationship,propagationlength,andfieldconfinementarecalculatedbyananalyticalmethodandcomparedwiththoseonplanarsubstrates.Basedonourtheory,thebendofgraphenenearlydoesnotaffectthepropertyofGSPPsexceptforanextremelysmallshifttothelowerfrequencyforthesameeffectivemodeindex.ThefielddistributionsandtheeigenfrequenciesofGSPPsonplanarandcylindricalsubstratesarecalculatedbythefiniteelementmethod,whichvalidatesourtheoreticalanalysis.Moreover,threetypesofgraphene-guidedopticalinterconnectionsofGSPPs,namely,planartocurvedgraphenefilm,curvedtoplanargraphenefilm,andcurvedtocurvedgraphenefilm,areproposedandexaminedindetail.ThetheoreticalresultsshowthattheGSPPspropagationoncurvedgraphenesubstratesandinterconnectionswillnotinduceanyadditionallossesifthephase-matchingconditionissatisfied.Additionally,theextremetinysizeofcurvedgrapheneforinterconnectionatacertainspectrarangeispredictedbyourtheoryandvalidatedbythesimulationof90°turningofGSPPs.ThebendingeffectonthepropertyofGSPPsissystematicallyanalyzedandidentified.OurstudieswouldbehelpfultoinstructdesignofplasmonicdevicesinvolvingcurvedGSPPs,suchasnanophotoniccircuits,flexibleplasmonic,andbiocompatibledevices.
