MechanicallyactivatedW-Cupowdersweresinteredbyasparkplasmasinteringsystem(SPS)inordertodevelopanewprocessandimprovethepropertiesofthealloy.Propertiessuchasdensityandhardnessweremeasured.ThemicrostructuresofthesinteredW-CualloysampleswereobservedbySEM(scanningelectronmicroscope).Theresultsshowthatsparkplasmasinteringcanobviouslylowerthesinteringtemperatureandincreasethedensityofthealloy.Thisprocesscanalsoimprovethehardnessofthealloy.SPSisaneffectivemethodtoobtainW-Cupowderswithhighdensityandsuperiorphysicalproperties.
